Trans Help is a separate transit system which is operated basically in Peel Region. This is designated for people with mobility problems especially those that are ascend or descend the stairs or cannot walk a maximum distance of 175 meters. The people who use the wheelchair are also eligible for these special services. However, the elderly persons and the dialysis patients are not automatically eligible for this service. The Trans Help Transportation makes over 240,000 trips in a year with a fleet of twenty eight specially equipped buses. The residents of Celadon and Ontario are usually served by the Caledonia Community Services Transportation.

All the applicants to the Trans Help Transportation are required to complete and application form with the services provider. They are also required to get a certification from their occupational therapist, physician or physiotherapist. This helps curb the transportation of the ineligible persons who might lead to the locking out of the needy. One can also contact the customer service in case of complains or questions. Once the application form is complete, it can be sent either via email, fax, and mail or dropped at the Trans Help offices.

The open hours for the Trans Help Transportation are usually between 6.00am to 1.00am all year round. Over the weekends and holidays when the Trans Help transportation buses are not available, two taxi services are hired to substitute. These are the Bram City and the Brampton of Brampton and Mississauga respectively. The company tries as hard as possible to reduce the travel times. Passengers can be required to be on the bus for 90 minutes when traveling within a municipality and for over 90 minutes if traveling during peak ours or when the weather is unfavorable.

When making the bookings, there are certain details that are required from the passenger. These include:

• Their name, address and their registration number
•  Date of travel
•  Time they plan on arriving to their destination
•  Address of the target destination
•  Kind of mobility problem and equipments used
•  Name of escort for clients unable to speak
•  State number of the companion
•  Number of escorts

The bookings can be done from Monday to Friday between 8 in the morning and evening. Booking can be done up to a week in advance and no later than 2pm of the traveling day. If vehicles are not available, one can get up to an hour alternate booking time.

During the booking with the Trans Help Transportation, one has to organize a return trip. The booking of the return trip should incorporate all possible delays and should be done an hours before the booking time closes. Incase one misses a vehicle, they should contact the customer services for further arrangements.
